For production companies

Do you recognise this on the shop floor?

For directors, owners, operations and production managers in manufacturing, construction and installation engineering. Anywhere expertise sits in people’s heads, not in systems.

For management that is a continuity risk: when that knowledge leaves, productivity, quality and margin leave with it. Usually by more than expected.

  • Your senior operator is leaving

Within a few years the person who really knows the line will stop. Thirty years of exceptions, machine quirks and customer deviations live in that head. Nowhere written down.

  • A holiday is not possible

The shift depends on one person. When the senior operator is ill or away, the work stalls. Weekend phone calls have become normal.

  • Onboarding takes too long

New people need 6 to 12 months. Wikis, videos and consultants stalled. Operators do not type. They work.
